Sales Policies for Atlas Welding Accessories Distributor Customers
Sales – To approved distributors of welding, safety, and industrial products.

New Distributor Requirements – New distributors are asked to complete, sign and return our current credit application.
We sell to distributors who:
1. Operate from a business or commercial location,
2. Have a state resale certificate number and
3. Are established to buy from 3 manufacturers (not wholesalers) of welding,
safety or industrial products.
Prices – Pricing updates are posted to the Distributor Download Area of our website prior to effective date. However, conditions beyond our control may make it necessary to change prices without notice and invoice items at prices in effect at the time of shipment.
Terms – Net 30 days to distributors with approved credit. Past due invoices will incur a service charge of 1.5% per month (18% per year).
Minimum Billing Charge - $25.00 on domestic shipments.
Freight Allowance – Orders for less than $500 net billing value, exception items specified “FOB SHIPMENT POINT” on price schedule pages, and items shipped at an expedited freight service level, will be shipped F.O.B. shipping point with charges being prepaid and added to the invoice.
Other than above, $500 net billing value original orders to one destination at one time and resultant backorders will be shipped F. O. B. shipping point with freight charges prepaid and allowed up to a maximum of 5% of the shipment value. For example, on a $500 shipment with $28 freight charges, Atlas will prepay and allow $25 (5% of shipment value) and will invoice the distributor for the remaining $3. Customers requesting special transportation, routing, or carrier will be invoiced for the difference in freight charges.
Freight Claims – Distributor is responsible for inspecting incoming shipments for freight damage before signing carrier’s delivery receipt. The occurrence of freight damage and any resulting merchandise loss should be reported immediately both to the carrier and to Atlas.
Shortages – Shortages due to under shipment must be reported to Atlas within 2 working days of receipt.
Guarantee – The items we sell are made by recognized manufacturers of quality products intended for use by skilled tradesmen trained in their safe use and application. Please notify us of any item thought to be defective in material or workmanship so that we may sleect the best place for inspection by the manufacturer. Claims approved by the manufacturer will receive a full credit which shall be the limit of our liability.
Returning goods – Atlas will refuse goods returned without prior authorization. To receive authorization, call our customer service department. We will need to know the items and quantity you wish to return, the reason, the Atlas invoice number, and the condition of the goods. You will then be provided with shipping and packaging instructions, as well as any restocking charges that may be associated with your return.
